Unlike the LR9D solid state devices which have a specified automatic reset time, our LRD overloads are an electromechanical product and even when set on automatic reset we do not have reset time to provide.
The resetting time ( regardless of the specific product reference ) depends on :
- The kind of tripping ( IE: Thermal tripping, phase tripping, differential…. )
- The state of the overload ( IE: cold state, hot state )
- The ambient temperature
Combining all of these conditions leads to a variable time range before the reset can occur.
- The reset is allowed only when the internal bimetal sensors of the LRD** have come back to a position allowing reset.
- The bimetal sensor represents motor temperature and we need to cool down the motor prior to allowing a reset.
