Checking Realflo Licenses with SCADAPack x70 RTU's

On previous generations of SCADAPack such as the SCADAPack 32, SCADAPack 3xx or SCADAPack 4203 series RTU's, Realflo licenses where specific to type and run number. For example a SCADAPack 4203 could have 2 gas runs OR 1 gas, 1 water and 1 liquid. These were determined by the actual license of the device.

On a SCADAPack x70 RTU, Realflo licenses are for number of runs. Type is decided by the user. Example a user could have 10 flow runs licensed. This could be for any type of runs. The user can decide via the Realflo configuration if it uses 2 gas runs, or 9 liquid run and 1 water run, or 5 gas runs with 5 liquids runs or even just 1 gas run. Essentially any combination of 10 runs or less.

To check to see how many runs a SCADAPack x70 device is licensed for for, the user can open either RemoteConnect or Realflo.

RemoteConnect
  • Create a default 47x or 57x project using RemoteConnect version 2.6.1 or later
  • Connect to the RTU via RemoteConnect and go online (via Modbus TCB/USB or DNP3 USB)
  • Check the "Online Diags - SPx70 Controller tab"
  • Refresh the page
  • The amount of flow runs that can be configured in Realflo is displayed
