Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, welcomes the announcement of Astrid Groves, General Manager, IT/Edge, as the winner of the Shining Star Vendor award at the ARN Women in ICT Awards.
The award follows an extensive judging process where nominees were considered by a panel of more than 150 industry leaders. Each finalist was selected based on their ability to champion company initiatives, drive strategic change, regularly achieve standout business results, and continue to assume increased levels of seniority within the organisation.
Of the many female leaders nominated for the awards across the IT channel, Astrid was one of only 25 winners selected across the eight categories.
Speaking about the award, General Manager, IT/Edge Astrid Groves said: “It is an honour to be recognised alongside so many talented women in our industry. I am passionate about the impact that we make as a collective IT channel industry, utilising technology to improve someone’s life or enabling local communities to grow and prosper through digital advancements.”
With more than 18 years of experience in the IT industry, Astrid built her career in IT through various roles, such as a service operations manager at Schneider Electric in London and national sales manager at Vocus. Joining Schneider Electric in Australia in 2021, she has since led various initiatives and developed her leadership skills, striving to empower and positively impact her team and other colleagues across Schneider.
“I am very grateful to have such high-calibre diverse individuals, and I look forward to continue leaning on their expertise and fostering relationships with our channel partners in the future,” adds Astrid.
In addition to Astrid’s Shining Star Vendor award, Schneider Electric was shortlisted for four additional ARN Women in ICT Awards including Diversity and Inclusion Champion Individual and Company, Graduate, and Shining Star Innovation.
