Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has appointed Carlos Urbano as the new Vice President, Industry for Pacific Zone.
As a key member of the Pacific Zone executive team, Carlos will be responsible for leading the Industrial Automation and Process Automation division of the business.
Carlos has held multiple roles within Schneider Electric over the past 15 years and joins the Pacific team from Brazil, where he was most recently Industry Business Director.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Pacific Zone executive team at Schneider Electric and am looking forward to merging my experience working in Brazil with local solutions for customers in Australia. As we can see with Industry 4.0, the region is in an impressive position and there is a very real and exciting opportunity to drive growth”, said Carlos.
Having started his career with Schneider Electric more than 15 years ago as an application engineer in technical support for Drives, Soft-Starters and Motion Sensors, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the business and industry to the role.
“In my new role as VP, Industry, I will be working closely with Schneider Electric’s partners in the region to accelerate digital transformation and drive innovation in the market. My main focus will be on delivering sustainability to our customers and partners as a business tool that drives efficiency and productivity.”
