Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced two strategic leadership changes within its Pacific Zone division to harness the rapid growth in the Pacific cloud and digital infrastructure market.
As part of its broader expansion plan, Schneider Electric has appointed Joe Craparotta as Vice President, Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP), Pacific, and Farokh Ghadially as Vice President, Secure Power, Pacific. These leadership appointments are in place to advance Schneider Electric’s stronghold in the cloud, AI, and data centre sectors, aligning with the projected high growth in data centre capacity expected in the Pacific.
“With the Pacific region boasting the highest cloud capacity per capita globally, we are ready to lead the next wave of innovation in data centre design and AI development in Australia and New Zealand,” said Colette Munro, Pacific Zone President at Schneider Electric. “Joe and Farokh have the vision and experience to take on this growing demand while continuing to deliver sustainable, intelligent, and resilient solutions for our customers.”
In his new role, Joe Craparotta will spearhead Schneider Electric’s C&SP market segment, leveraging his 30 years of leadership experience in the technology industry – including 16 years at Schneider Electric. Joe will lead the Pacific C&SP strategy and key business relationships, working closely with Schneider’s specialist teams and its partners to drive sustained growth.
“I’m excited to step into this role at such a transformative moment for the Pacific region. The opportunities in the cloud and AI sectors are vast and the moment is now to invest faster in our sector and cement the digital sovereignty and digital future of our region. I look forward to leading and collaborating with our talented teams and partners as we lead the way in shaping the future of data centres across the region,” said Joe.
Farokh Ghadially, who has been with Schneider Electric for over 18 years, has been appointed Vice President, Secure Power, Pacific. In his new role, he will drive secure power portfolio growth across market segments, accelerating services, software, and AI-driven solutions to deliver impactful outcomes for customers’ business operations.
“Whether it’s in the data centres that power our digital world, the advancements in AI that reshape how we think, or the infrastructure that connects us all, I am committed to advancing our shared goals with integrity and purpose. By joining forces and encouraging collaborative partnerships in our ecosystem, we will build a future that is more connected, sustainable, intelligent, and resilient. I’m excited for the road ahead and the impact we will make together,” said Farokh.
"Stepping into this role at such a pivotal time in our industry is an opportunity to unlock new potential in the work we do. Exponential technology evolution continues to shape and redefine our world, and the responsibility we carry has never been greater. Together, we stand at the forefront of innovation, driving societal change as much as it drives economic impact,” he added.
The two new appointments are just the beginning of Schneider Electric’s Pacific Zone growth plans to ensure Schneider Electric meets demand for innovative and sustainable solutions, while continuing to successfully deliver on its ongoing commitments.
