Why does an ATV6xx / ATV9xx show DC bus overvoltage when the incoming voltage is within normal range?

Issue:
ATV600 or ATV900 on a corner grounded or IT system shows DC Bus Overvoltage fault.

Product Line:
ATV600 and ATV900 series drives.

Environment:
All models and serial numbers when used on an IT or Corner Grounded power supply.

Cause:
Grounded EMC filter causes DC bus voltage measurement to reference Earth Ground.

Resolution:
Refer to the installation manual for your specific part number drive for changes to be made to the EMC filter connection when used on an IT or Corner Grounded system.   Essentially, the EMC filter must be disconnected from Earth Ground. The method to disconnect varies by part number so please refer to the installation manual for specific instructions for your model number.
