Summary: ABCLX Device does not come online

Solution: There are a number of reasons for this as covered in other knowledge base articles (Aveva Tech Notes Q6037, Q4009), however it is possible to improve the PLC's ability to service communications requests by optimising the scan time. For example running periodic tasks in the PLC can result in an increased overall main task scan time (+250ms). By moving these periodic tasks into the main task, it's possible to considerably reduce the scan time (<100ms) allowing the PLC to come online in Citect SCADA.
