1. Ensure that Control Expert "Time Stamping Mode" is set to "System"

2. In this example, I will log channel 0 and 1 discrete value
CE

3. In the OFS configuration tool, I will leave the Timestamp group name to the default as shown. This name we will use for the group name for the testing client.

4. Ensure that the Time Stamped Events service is checked. You can change polling rate for the ERT accordingly. It is left at default
ofs

5. Create a directory and then create a text file in that directory. The events will log to this file. In this example, the directory is called EVENT_LOG and the file name is ERT.txt

6. Rick click on the shortcut for the OFS testing client and modify the Target. Add the following at the end of the string
-l C:\EVENT_LOG\ERT.TXT  as shown. So the full string should be
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\OFS\Samples\OFSClient\ofsclient.exe" -l C:\EVENT_LOG\ERT.TXT

7. When creating the group, give it the name ##TSEventsGroup##
