Why ViewX Fails to launch after displaying the splash screen.
Common causes of ViewX failing to launch after the splash screen appears.

ViewX can fail to launch after installing or performing an upgrade etc... for several reasons. This page lists some of the common problems seen and some potential ways to fix the problem.

Possible Problems:

Anti-Virus.
ViewX is trying to launch however, something external is preventing it from starting. Often, this is caused by anti-virus software. Please work with your IT department to make sure suitable exclusions are configured for your anti-virus software to allow proper ViewX operation. https://community.se.com/t5/Geo-SCADA-Knowledge-Base/Anti-virus-Scan-Exclusions/ba-p/278735

ViewX not installed properly.
A repair or reinstall would fix this issue

Crystal Reports Driver.
Crystal Reports driver or runtime engine is not installed in ViewX. ViewX fails to login as it tries to run the Crystal Reports driver that isn't installed. This issue can be fixed by uninstalling Crystal Report runtime engine, also running the installer and remove crystal reports from the server. In case Crystal Reports is being used, run the installer, and install Crystal Reports runtime engine and the Crystal Reports driver on both ViewX client and server.

CefSharp Files.
This issue usually appears after upgrading or downgrading ViewX client. The splash screen appears but ViewX does not launch. ViewX is failing to start due to the wrong version of a file being on disk CEFSharp files. Unfortunately, repair and reinstall would not resolve this issue.
A workaround to solve this issue as follows:
On a PC with the problem, please check the folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\Modules
Files named "CEFSharp” are only expected in the Modules folder. If these files are located in the ClearSCADA folder, then they can be deleted. Alternatively, shut down the server, delete those files, and then notice that ViewX will start running as expected.
