Resolution
Are the Flicker values valid for a Delta, 2PT and 2CT system?

We are not aware of any standards that stipulate that the flicker values need to be based on voltage phase line to neutral values. As such, when the meter is in delta mode, the Flicker module in the meter detects this volts mode and calculates flicker data based on voltage line-to-line values. The accuracy of the calculation is the same whether line-to-neutral or line-to-line voltages are used.

In a Delta configuration can you base flicker measurements off of 3 PTs instead of 2?
No. In delta mode only 2 PTs are required for V1 and V3 connections; V2 is calculated based off these values. The Flicker module also uses the calculated V2 voltage to generate flicker data.

Canthe Flicker module be made read-only?
The hardware-locked ION meter option locks all revenue related modules in the meter however the Flicker Module is not included in the locked modules. One way to restrict access to the Flicker module on the meter would be to enable Advanced Security and grant a user read-only access.

How to get flicker data?
The outputs of the Flicker Module need to be connected to a Data Recorder module in order to record flicker data.
General information regarding the Flicker module and the Data Recorder module is available in the online ION Reference document.
