Issue:
PowerChute Network Shutdown fails to Turn the UPS off when the Network Management Card AP9617, AP9618, or AP9619 are configured for HTTPS.
Product Line:
PowerChute Network Shutdown versions 3.1, 4.x
with Network Management Cards: AP9617, AP9618, AP9619
Environment:
Supported operating systems for the relevant PowerChute Network Shutdown versions in the Product Line above.
Cause:
An SSL handshake error occurs when Java 7 and 8 is installed on the system and PowerChute attempts to communicate with an AP9617, AP9618, AP9619.
Solution:
To correct the issue change the communication protocol between the NMC and PowerChute to HTTP.
NOTE: There is no HTTPS solution with PowerChute Network Shutdown versions 3.1 and 4.x with NMCs AP9617, AP9618, and AP9619.
