Runtime error 'ERROR Number 75 Path\File access error' gets returned when trying to
authorize the software.
The reason that this happens is because
- The software is installed under the ...\Program Files folder and the user may not have full
- Access to the installation folder is being blocked by a firewall (i.e., Norton Internet Security,
If the software is installed in the ...\Program Files folder, provide the user with full access to the folder by
using the following steps:
- Right click on Advantys folder and select 'Properties'
- Click on the 'Security' tab.
- Click on the 'Full control' checkbox under the 'Allow' column to provide the access to the folder.
If the above steps are followed and the error still occurs, check the security permissions:
To check the security permissions:
- Right click on Advantys folder and select 'Properties'
- Click on the 'Security' tab.
- Click on 'Advanced'.
- Click on 'Permissions' tab.
- Click on the users name to highlight it.
- Click on 'Edit'.
- Check to see if they have permission to make administrative changes.
