Can the Class 9065 Motor Logic Solid State Overload Relays be used on single-phase applications?
Issue:
Can the Class 9065 SSOLR be used on single-phase applications?
Product Line:
NEMA and Definite Purpose Contactors and Starters
Environment:
Class 9065 Motor Logic solid-state overload relays (SSOLRs)
Resolution:
For devices that are Series A, B, C, D, or E this overload relay should not be used on single-phase applications.
Series F devices can be used on single phase applications as long as you loop the legs, as current must be running across all three legs.
NOTE: No matter the series these devices should not be used on high-leg delta, open delta, or grounded B phase (corner grounded) or rotophase applications.
