Do the D-Line contactors have positively guided, or linked contacts?
Issue:
Do LC1D Contactor have positively guided contacts?

Product Line:
IEC Contactors and Starters

Environment:
Tesys D Contactors

Resolution:
Yes. The contactor has positively guided or linked contacts. This makes it suitable to use in safety circuits. A good recommendation for monitoring the power contacts would be to use the NC aux contacts in the base device rather than a separate contact block.

The contactors that have this type of contacts include the following symbol in their schematics: (Explanation in attached)

Mechanically linked contacts:

mechanically linked contacts

Mirror Contacts

Mirror

The Tesys D Contactors (LC1D) do have these types of contacts. The Catalog MKTED210011EN under the Technical Data for designers (Page B8/106)  for Tesys D includes the schematics for each contactor, see an example:

lc1d contacts

Conclusion:
This means that contactors from LC1D09 up to LC1D150 include both types of contacts, mirror contacts and mechanically linked contacts, and therefore they can be used in safety related applications and wherever reliability of auxiliary contact state is critical.
