The blower maintenance alarm on an FM unit should not be a cause for concern. All of the FM maintenance alarms are only triggered by run hours. There is no status reading that will cause the unit to give a maintenance alarm. The regularly scheduled maintenance that we would recommend performing on the FM includes cleaning/replacing the humidifier canister, cleaning the humidifier drain and fill valve, replacing the air filters, and cleaning the condenser coil (on air cooled condensers). We recommend performing each of these maintenance at least once every 6 months. Each part may need maintenance sooner than 6 months depending on your specific site (due to air quality, water quality, etc).

The maintenance alarm can be cleared either on the front display of the unit or using the web interface. From the main menu of the front display go to Status -> Module -> Main Module -> Run Hours. From there you can choose the specific component that is in alarm and reset the maintenance alarm. If you want to use the web interface, go to the Modules tab, then click the Run Hours option. On this page there is a button to clear maintenance alarms.

If you would like to disable any of the maintenance alarms you can also do this from either the front display or the web interface. From the main menu of the front display go to Setup -> System -> Alarms -> Main. Intervals. From here you can choose to enable or disable the alarm for each component. If you want to use the web interface, go to the Modules tab, then click the Service Intervals option. If you would like to disable the alarm then set the number of hours to 0 and click apply.

Based on the serial number and your records, if you have a preventative maintenance coverage with APC for this unit APC would cover this under warranty. If you think you should have a PM contract already, let us know and we can help you look into that. If you would like to purchase PM coverage we can get you in touch with someone who can help.
