Issue:
Where should the amperage dial be set on a GV2 or GV3 starter
Product Line:
IEC Contactors and starters
Environment:
GV2 and GV3 Manual Motor starters and protectors
Cause:
Installation and Setup
Resolution:
These overloads take into account a standard 1.15-1.25 service factor, and the trip setting is 125% FLA. For motors with these service factors the amp dial should be set as close to the motor nameplate full load current as possible.
Outside of this range we recommend reaching out to the motor manufacturer for a recommended multiplier.
