BMS not showing correct State of Charge
Issue:
Battery Monitor showing wrong State of Charge based on the voltage.
Product Line:
Battery Monitoring System
Environment:
New installation for Battery monitor showing 100% SoC when battery voltage is at 52V (56V bulk charging).
Cause:
Battery Monitor settings may not be set correctly to match the battery bank. Float Voltage in BMS settings do not match Float voltage in charger settings.
Resolution:
Make sure you've used the correct battery Capacity to match your bank. Float voltage selected in the system's Charger settings should also match float Voltage in BMS settings. If a different Float is used in the BMS the SoC will not be accurate.
