Limiting the default number of records returned for a Historic Search in ClearSCADA
You can use the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool to define the search limits for historic searches. This is useful as it allows you to define the size of searches so that searches for historic data do not put a high demand on the server.

To define the search limits, you need to use the Search Limits section in the Historic branch of the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool as following:
  1. Access the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool.
  2. Expand the Historic Configuration branch.
  3. Select Search Limits.


  4. In “Maximum Records”, You can change the maximum number of records that can be included in a single historic query to 10,000.  (The default setting of 100,000.)
  5. When displaying Historic list Query, You will notice that the default number is changed in the SQL statement as shown:
