What is trigger action on a E-stop mushroom button?

Issue:
Wants to know the difference between trigger action and the regular maintained push buttons

Resolution:
On a trigger action device you cannot depress the button and actuate the contacts without the button latching into the depressed position. Once the operator is depressed a certain amount it will latch into the depressed position and then actuate the contacts.
