When can we use a DC Injection braking on Altivar Process drives (Type of stop)?
Issue:
The drive is not stopping even without a run command, deceleration ramp up time has been already finished.
DI1 not energized, no delays assigned on DI1 for a start or stop.
Whenever the contactor for the DI1 and the 24V is open, the drive will start decreasing the speed, but it never goes to 0.0hz.

Category:
Altivar Process Drives

Resolution:
DC injection braking provides a quick and smooth braking action on all types of loads, including high-speed and high-inertia loads.
In an AC induction motor, when the AC voltage is removed, the motor will coast to a standstill over a period of time, since there is no induced field to keep it rotating. Since the coasting time may be unacceptable, particularly in an emergency situation, electric braking can be used to provide a more immediate stop.

Go to [Complete Settings] --> [Generic Functions] --> [Stop Configuration]
look for [Type of Stop] Stt
Select DC injection (This will be only available if motor control type is not set to [SYN_U CV] or [Rel.Mot])
