Why would Virtual ViewX stop working with an “Application load failed” error after performing an upgrade?
After performing an upgrade, one of the common causes of Virtual ViewX failing with an error “Application load failed” is that the Secondary Logon windows was disabled due to a computer hardening policy.

Ensure that the Secondary Logon windows service is set to manual: Control Panel>Administrative tools>services>secondary logon.
