To download and unzip RemoteConnect follow the instructions below. At the end of this the RemoteConnect installer should be accessible and the installation instructions ready to follow.
- Navigate to https://www.se.com/us/en/download/document/RemoteConnect/
- Login to your existing account. If you don’t have one yet it can be created.
- Click the Download button
Unblocking Zipped Files
Files downloaded from the internet may be blocked by Windows. You may need to unblock the files before unzipping and installing.
To check if files are blocked
- Right-click on the file.
- Select Properties > General.
- Check Unblock.
- Click Apply and then OK.
If the downloaded files are not blocked, the Properties > General tab will look similar to the following:
Verifying that .NET is Enabled
Enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
- In the Windows search box, enter Turn Windows features on or off.
- In the search results, click Turn Windows features on or off.
- Click in the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) checkbox to enable this feature.
- Click OK.
Unzipping the Files
- In your Downloads folder, select the file and extract the files to your local hard drive.
Do not install from a USB device or a network drive.
- Double-click the unzipped folder.
- Review and follow the installation manual located in “Software Installation.pdf”
The installation instructions document just opened contains the instructions required to continue the installation.
