In VSD coordination tables in catalog, Why the line contactor has current rating less than the line current of the drive ?
The combination given in the catalog are tested and validated for type-2 coordinatio .
The contactor used with VFD will be considered as AC-1 duty application, hence the continuous current rating of will be greater than the continous curent of the VSD
For Example, The contactor LC1D09 is AC-3 duty = 9Amps & AC-1 Duty = 25 Amps.so it can be used with VSD with continous current up to 25 A
