How To add Java Plug-in for Easergy Configurator on a Windows PC ?

The FAQ address the Java Plug-in error normally seen in a windows PC while navigating through the Easergy configurator. Java plug in is a “must add” requirement for most of the windows based software typically playing animations or video.
Easergy configurator is windows based setting tool for Schneider’s Easergy range of products. User is allowed to configure their Easergy devices using this setting tool. The tool uses a web based GUI and can be opened in a web browser like Internet Explorer Fig (1). The configurator page also allows user to monitor the port which is used for communication. However, it happens that the Port being monitored doesn’t open, instead displays an error due improper installation/settings of Java software. Possible errors are described with screen shots in sections to follow.

Once the user is connected to the device from the  Easergy configurator, navigates to Maintenance > Traces Menu and attempt to open Port Traces (depends on the device configuration and port available for communication), a computer without Java Plug installed can displays the following errors Fig (2).
