Is it recommended to install RM6 RMU’s in IP-55 GRP Enclosures. What is the maximum temperature allowed for continuous operation?
In order to determine the proper loading of the RM6 unit inside limited ventilation enclosure (like the case you have inside an IP55 enclosure), it is important first to determine the actual ambient temperature in which the RM6 will operate,
We should guarantee that the ambient temperature around the RM6 does not exceed 60°C.
In addition, kindly find the below recommendations:

a) RM6 with circuit-breaker has been tested for very high temperature: 60°C ambient,
Circuit-breaker function has a better withstand to very high temperature than Fuse switch combination (Q function) as Q function is not proposed for 60°C ambient.

b) We qualified the following function: I, D, B

c) to apply current de-ration according to attached presentation (de-rated current table included in last page).
