In Security Expert, What is difference between EOL Resistor Input and No EOL Resistor Input?

The Controller supports normally opened and normally closed configurations with or without EOL resistors. Each input can use a different configuration. To program a large number of inputs with a certain configuration, use the multiple selection feature within the Security Expert software.

EOL Resistor Input:

When using an input with the EOL resistor configuration, the Controller generates an alarm condition when the state of an input is toggled and generates a tamper alarm condition when a wire fault (short circuit) or a cut (tampered) in the line occurs. Inputs default to require the EOL resistor configuration.

No EOL Resistor Input:

When using the No Resistor configuration, the Controller only monitors the opened and closed state of the connected input device generating the alarm and seal conditions.

Configuration in Security Expert Software:
In input options tab, Input End of Line (EOL) can be configured. Input End of Line (EOL) defines the resistors used for EOL configuration.
