The External Log Storage is a new feature, in EcoStruxure Building Operation "EBO" V3.0, that allows the system to write and read event and certain trend log data to/from a TimescaleDB database for long term storage.
Only the following EcoStruxure Building Operation Trend Log data will be written to the External Log Storage when enabled:
• Trend Log (native EcoStruxure Building Operation), Interval, COV, Variable triggered, Manual.
• Extended Trend Log
All other trend log data types will NOT be written to the External Log Storage, including BACnet Trend Log, IP Controller BACnet Trend Log, Xenta Trend Logs, IO Implicit Trend Log etc.
If log data from these is required to be stored in the External Log Storage database then Extended Trend logs should be configured for these log types.
