Whether IP address is Mandatory during transferring GOOSE communication between IEC 61850 IED's configuring with Micom relays ?

Description/Issue:
Whether IP address is Mandatory during transferring GOOSE communication between IEC 61850 IED's configuring with Micom relays ?

Product family:
Micom relays

Resolution:
GOOSE is not based on TCP/IP and this will not require an IP address to be configured.

Actually Gooses signals are using to send data in an efficient way. Such kind of devices often need to be managed/configured and to do so, other protocols will be used (IEC 61850 MMS, SNMP, DPWF etc..) and such protocols needs an IP address.
