Will upgrading the firmware on an APC PDU cause loss of power to the outlets?
Issue:
Will the firmware upgrade process on my APC PDU cause the unit to stop supplying power to its outlets?
Product Line:
APC Rack PDU - AP7xxxB, AP8xxx and APDU9xxx
Cause:
As long as the PDU is operating normally and there are no active alarms, a firmware upgrade of the management interface will not power on/off any attached loads.
The network management card will reboot during the process, but this will not affect the attached load.
