Issue:
Configuring the TYP parameter on Altivar 212 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
Product line:
Altivar 212 series drives.
Environment:
All ATV212 models and serial numbers (does not include ATV21 series)
Cause:
Customer needs to configure the drive for 60Hz. operation.
Customer needs to configure the drive for 50Hz. operation.
Customer needs to perform a full factory reset of the drive.
Customer needs to save a backup copy of the drive configuration into a separate location within the drive.
Customer needs to retrieve the previously stored drive configuration.
Customer needs to clear the elapsed motor run time.
Customer needs to clear the fault history of the drive.
Customer needs to clear the EtYP detected fault of the drive.
Resolution:
The TYP parameter is used to quickly reconfigure the ATV212 series drive for several common operating modes or to clear the fault history, elapsed time, or elapsed run time registers within the drive. Details on the 10 possible settings of the TYP parameter can be found in the attachment below and also on page 62 of the ATV212 programming manual, document number S1A53838 version 01/2011.
