Resolution
For the purpose of Cyber Security, is it possible to install the Schneider Electric Software Update Tool (SESU) on an isolated PC
located in a DMZ (demilitarized zone on the Ethernet network) to serve as as a proxy for a SESU that is installed on other PC's?

The answer is No, SESU cannot act as a proxy for other SESUs.

As a workaround:
  • Install a copy of anyl Schneider Electric software that uses the SESU, on the isolated PC.  (Pre-requisite is that the software for which you want to get the Updates is installed on the "connected" PC, because   a) each Software for which SESU should look for Updates must put a so-called "luSettings"-file in a certain directory  b) some updates are only notified, when certain "client-conditions" are met on the PC, e.g. certain registry keys.).
  • Create a shared folder that is behind the DMZ.
  • Change the download location to the shared folder by clicking on Change button in the Download Location window..
  • Use the SESU tool to get the updates.
  • Manually update the other PC's using the the downloaded update file in the shared folder.
