What are firmware version requirements to update/downgrade an STBNIP2212 ?
There are some conditions related to the current firmware version to update the STBNIP2212 firmware units.

• All STBNIP2212's whose Exec versions are less than SV2.70 are non-RoHs units.
• All STBNIP2212's whose Exec versions are SV2.7x or higher are RoHs units.

Firmwares (Execs) between RoHs and non-RoHs units are not interchangeable. Means that we cannot update an STBNIP2212 which current firmware version is less than 2.70, to the latest firmware version, and we cannot downgrade an STBNIP2212 which current firmware version is higher than 2.7x to a firmware version lower than or equal to 2.70.

PS: RoHs is the acronym for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. The substances banned under RoHS are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
