Data Center Expert | Why are IP addresses showing in the Hostname field?

IP addresses are being displayed in the hostname field for devices.

Resolution:

StruxureWare Data Center Expert will put the IP address of a device into the hostname field if it is unable to look-up the IP address of the device within your DNS server to obtain the hostname.  To correct the issue, please make sure that there are entries within your DNS server for the device. This may require both forward and reverse lookups. You can verify your DNS settings within StruxureWare Data Center Expert under: System > Server Administration Settings > Network Settings.
