How can I connect XPSMC to a laptop using TSXCUSB485 USB converter?

Please note - neither the TSXCUSB485 or the XPSMC range are available any more, this FAQ is for reference only. For possible alternatives to the XPSMC range please look at the Modicon MCM range here - Modicon MCM | Schneider Electric UK (se.com). However, TSXCUSB485 has not been replaced.
