PM5000 Series Meter - energy pulsing explained

Screen below of settings for Pulse

The meter energy pulsing setting below is set to one then the meter will give 1 pulse per 1 kWh consumption. That means if a 1 kW load runs for 1 hour then the meter will give 1 pulse.

Pulse 1

For the below screenshot the load is approximately 0.1 kW. So with this load, it will take about 10 hours to get 1 pulse.

Pulse 2

For this one, the load is approximately 0.5 kW. So with this load, it will take about 2 hours to get 1 pulse.


Pulse 3

set the value to 1 and active energy delivered this should pulse after see over 1kWh

Errors

If the current and voltage shown in the above example screenshots are incorrect then please check the CT and PT ratio and make sure those settings are correct refer to manual for these setting.

Regarding Digital output connections, DO in meter just acts like a simple switch(dry contact) and please make sure you follow the diagram on FAQ below or instructions.
To get faster pulses, please either increase the number of pulses per kWh or increase the load, if no pulses please check pulse wiring see https://www.se.com/th/en/faqs/FA353760/
