In XD users manual, The last section on page 5/6 with diagram of circuit 1 with fault arrow crossed out and cross in circuit cable and then time 5 to 60s, what does this mean ?.
it takes between 5 and 60 seconds for the XD to locate a fault, because the XD will scan one feeder after the other, it takes about 5 seconds to make calculation for one feeder. for example if the XD is scanning feeder 4 and a fault happens on feeder 5, it will see it very fast (around 5sec), but if the XD is scanning feeder 4 and the fault happens on feeder 3, it will take more time (around 12 x 5sec = 60sec).
