Testing and tripping of AC/DC MCB.
The test procedure for MCBs thermal tripping verification is the same in AC and DC with normally no difference of product behaviour.
The test procedure is: Int=1.13.In no tripping (3600s for 6-10A starting from cold) and It=1.45.In tripping (≤3600s immediately following Int) according to 9.10.2.1 of IEC 60898-1 std.
Confirm that the current pass through all poles with the reference conditions as per the IEC standard operating at the reference calibration temperature of 30 °C 0/+5°C.
Confirm that the cross-section of conductor cable is in accordance with Tb.10 with 1m of length for cross-sections up to and including 10 mm².
