What are the HMIGTUX heat dissipation values?

Issue:
What are the HMIGTUX heat dissipation values?

Product Line:
HMIGTUX

Resolution:
For the GTUX lineup, the heat dissipation values can be assumed to be the same as the Power Consumption.

You can assume that less than 1% of the power consumed goes into emitting light from the unit, which means the rest of the consumed energy is eventually and continuously converted to heat.

See the Harmony GTUX User Manual page 41:

HMIG3X:

- the maximum consumed power is 20W, which means you can assume that it dissipates a maximum of 20W of heat.

For the extreme screens, the following numbers take into account both the HMIDTxxX and HMIG3X working together (because the HMIDTxxX doesn't light up without the base unit, so you can't measure it.)

HMIDT35X:
- the maximum power consumed is 29W, which means you can assume that it dissipates a maximum of 29W of heat.

- when there's no power supplied to external devices (for example USB fingerprint readers, printers, barcode readers, etc.): 17.5W or less

- when the HMI is in sleep mode with the backlight off (this can be configured in the software) : 12.5W or less

- when the backlight is at 20% (a typical indoor use scenario): 15W or less

HMIDT65X:
- the maximum power consumed is 37W, which means you can assume that it dissipates a maximum of 37W of heat.

- when there's no power supplied to external devices (for example USB fingerprint readers, printers, barcode readers, etc.): 23W or less

- when the HMI is in sleep mode with the backlight off (this can be configured in the software) : 12.5W or less

- when the backlight is at 20% (a typical indoor use scenario): 16W or less

HMIDT75X:
- the maximum power consumed is 48W, which means you can assume that it dissipates a maximum of 48W of heat.

- when there's no power supplied to external devices (for example USB fingerprint readers, printers, barcode readers, etc.): 34W or less

- when the HMI is in sleep mode with the backlight off (this can be configured in the software) : 12.5W or less

- when the backlight is at 20% (a typical indoor use scenario): 19W or less
