Unable to finish upgrading the catalog in RemoteConnect

  • If you're unable to update the catalog in RemoteConnect and the cursor closes at a certain percentage, followed by the window closing, please see the details below.

    Resolution:
  • Update the RemoteConnect to the latest version.
  • If you don't want to update to the latest version of RemoteConnect, follow the steps below:
  1. Shut down the RemoteConnect application if it's running.
  2. On the PC experiencing the issue, please create a backup copy of the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\RemoteConnect\CBS\FDTDTM\RuntimeFrame.dll.config" and save it to a suitable location.
  3. Copy the attached file "RuntimeFrame.dll.config" (from the WI attachments) to the PC experiencing the issue, replacing the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\RemoteConnect\CBS\FDTDTM\RuntimeFrame.dll.config."
  4. Launch the RemoteConnect application, navigate to the "Catalog" tab, and click the "Update Catalog" button.
  5. Monitor the progress of the DTM scan. If the DTM scan completes successfully, we are good to go.
