Issue:
How much torque can the ATV71 provide continuously to the motor at 0 speed?

Product Line:
Altivar 71 series drives.

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers.

Reason:
Drive needs to be able to suspend a load in a hoisting application without the use of a mechanical brake.  The drive must hold the load suspended continuously without slippage.

Resolution:
The ATV71 series drive can provide up to 150% of rated motor torque at zero speed.  Please note that an incremental encoder must be used and the drive must be in FVC (Flux Vector Control) Mode.
