What is the maximum allowed temperature rise on the terminal connections of the Compact INS switch disconnectors?
The INS devices are tested and certified according to standard IEC 60947-3. Temperature rise tests are performed at the rated operational current Ie.

The maximal allowed temperature can be calculated as ambient temperature (temperature of air around the device) + maximum temperature rise limit.
The standard specifies temperature rise limit on the terminals for external connectors at 80K.

For example - if ambient air temperature is 40 deg. C, then maximum allowed temperature on terminals for external connection is: 40 + 80 = 120 deg. C
