All the 30A through 200A, NEMA types 1, 3R, 4X(stainless ONLY) and NEMA 12/3R, heavy duty safety switches(HDSS) come standard with a viewing window factory installed in the cover. For all the new catalog numbers see the current on-line Digest, Section 3. The new catalog numbers will have the prefix VH(fusible) or VHU(non-fusible).
NOTES:
1) The switches can also be obtained Without a Viewing Window, BUT it requires the use of the Product Selector System to obtain a switch and catalog number.
2) The viewing window option is NOT available on the NEMA 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester, Krydon or the NEMA 7 or 9 switches.
The factory installed optional cover viewing window can be obtained on the 400A through 1200A, NEMA 12 and 4X( stainless steel ONLY), heavy duty safety switches. To obtain the viewing window requires the use of the product selector system to order the switch with the viewing window option.
NOTE: The viewing window is positioned over the blades to allow visual verification of ON or OFF status of the Blades.
