Video: How do I get run status from the ATV212 and S-Flex Drives?

Article available in these languages: Spanish

Issue:
Run Status on ATV212 and S-Flex Drives
Product line:
Altivar ATV212

Environment:
All models, all serial numbers

Cause:
Wiring for drive run status

Resolution:
For ATV212 open style drives: Wire directly to RYA and RYC for Run status. F130 must be programmed to 14: Drive Running.  When the drive run command is received these contacts change states from normally open contacts to close contacts.  They will reopen when the run command is removed  or fault that stops the drive.

For S-Flex enclosed Drives:  When in AFC or in Bypass, the status is available on terminals 13 and 14.

For S-Flex enclosures 6/2011 and earlier: RYA ( terminal 11) and  RYC (terminal 12) on the drive is programmed for Drive RUN (F130 must be programmed to 14: Drive Running). When the drive run command is received these contacts change states from normally open contacts to close contacts . They will reopen when the run command is removed  or fault that stops the drive.  When in Bypass, the status is available on terminals 13 and 14.

For S-Flex drives with LON option cards installed, the RYA and RYC terminals are not available.   Status when running in AFC mode must come from the network.
