Micrologic Devices Not Logging in PME

Issue
Micrologic devices are no longer logging measurements or logging them very infrequently.

Product Line
Power Monitoring Expert 2022

Environment
Translators

Cause
In PME2022 additional logging was enabled for the following load profile registers:

- Load Profile 0 to 49%, Load Profile 50 to 79%, Load Profile 80 to 89%, Load Profile 90 to 100%, and Rate Of Wear Counter.

Unfortunately, the xml file required an update to exclude those registers from scattered reads.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the .\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\translator folder on your server
  2. Locate the micrologic_p.xml and micrologic_p.ion files
  3. Copy/Paste these files to the .\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\translator folder
  4. Open and edit the micrologic_p.xml file with a text editor (Notepad, Notepad++, etc)
  5. add the following text at the very bottom of the file (just above </ModbusMap>):

<TransactionConfiguration>
<DatasetAddressBlock ModbusAddress="429880" NumberOfRegisters="8"/>
<DatasetAddressBlock ModbusAddress="429853" NumberOfRegisters="1"/>
</TransactionConfiguration>

Once completed, the last lines of the .xml file should match the screenshot below:
Corrected XML Coding
  1. Save the file
  2. Open the “Services” application in Windows and restart the ION Network Router Service and ION Site Service.

Repeat Steps 1 through 6 for the A, E, and H version driver files
  • micrologic_a.ion
  • micrologic_a.xml
  • micrologic_e.ion
  • micrologic_e.xml
  • micrologic_h.ion
  • micrologic_h.xml
