Issue:
Receiving the following error message from the Reporting Services Report Server application when
requesting the following ReportServer URL : http://localhost/ReportServer/

Cause:
Although the problem seems to be a SQL Server Reporting Services SSRS problem, actually it is caused by the incorrect configuration of
Report Server application pool in the Internet Information Services IIS web server.
Resolution:
The solution is to change the ASP.net version of the the ReportServer application pool version from 4.0 to 2.0.50727.
