If you only have access to a backup and not to the site itself, the thing to do
is just what you mentioned i.e. restore the backup to another server, where
you have Esmikko installed. After backup do a “restore database logins”
from Configuration tool and start the service.
Check version from esmikko client about or directly from database. (Parameter – Systeminfo – DbVersion.
