Issue:
Looking for a way to design a Vijeo Designer application such that the graphics will be rotated for the HMI to be mounted vertically in Portrait mode.
Product Line:
Vijeo Designer (all versions)
Resolution:
The Harmony (previously Magelis) series of HMIs programmed with Vijeo Designer cannot be mounted vertically. The reason for this is because Vijeo Designer software assumes that the (0,0) co-ordinate is the top left corner of the screen. The graphics on the screen are only to be displayed Horizontally.
EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert (previously known as Vijeo XD), however, supports rotation of some objects (+90, -90 and +180 degrees) from the Screen menu bar so that screens can be used in Portrait (vertical) view as well as other orthogonal orientations. Note that there are still some objects cannot be rotated (Trend Graph, Alarm Summary, Ingredient Viewer), so it will depend on the composition of objects on the screen.
