Using the Realflo Modbus Database in the RemoteConnect Logic Editor
The Realflo Modbus database and RemoteConnect Modbus database share the same Modbus address space on a SCADAPack x70 RTU, but are accessed differently. The RemoteConnect object database does not have direct communication to the Realflo Modbus database.
There are 2 main ways to access the Realflo Modbus database in RemoteConnect the Logic Editor.
1. Use the Modbus Scanner to poll the local host (127.0.0.1) address of the SCADAPack via Modbus TCP to populate the Object database with Realflo data, then link these objects to logic.
2. Use custom Modbus functions in Logic to poll the local host address via Modbus TCP to populate logic variables with the Realflo data directly.
This detailed example attached, has an 8 page walk through guide with screen captures and descriptions, RemoteConnect project, Realflo configuration and a custom DFB (used in logic program) for example 2.
