Issue:
Does the standard enclosed Altivar 212 S-flex, Series E, with AFC/Bypass and Hand Off Auto switch have a Run Permissive?
Product Line:
SFD212 S-flex systems, Series E with HOA and AFC/Bypass switch.
Environment:
All Series E S-flex systems with both HOA and AFC/Bypass switch.
Cause:
Information difficult to find in current literature.
Resolution:
The following parameters are typical of the Series E S-flex:
FNOD = Frequency reference desired when in AUTO mode : 1 = VIA, 2 = VIB, 3 = Keypad on drive, 4 = Serial communication.
CNOD = Command channel : 0 = Terminals, 1 = Keypad (not used) 2 = Serial Communication.
F108 = 0 - No function assigned
F109 = 0 - AI Function/ VIA Analog Input
F110 = 0 - No function assigned.
F111 = 2 - Run Forward
F112 = 1 - Run Permissive (interlock to force drive to "OFF" condition when bypass is enabled)
F113 = 38 - Reference switch (active in Hand mode)
F114 = 10 Fault Reset
F207 = Frequency reference desired in HAND mode : Default is 3, keypad. Other options are 1 - VIA, 2 - VIB, 4 - Serial communication.
If you do not measure 24v dc between R and CC, the drive will show OFF. This means the Auto Start contact has not been activated, F415 should be programmed to match the FLA rating of the motor and F417 should be programmed to match the RPM of the motor and F601 should be set to Service Factor current rating.
Ensure that the main overload relay in the lower section of the cabinet is programmed to match the FLA rating of the motor. If the main overload relay trips, the drive will show "OFF" and the system will not run in AFC or Bypass mode, Hand or Auto. Note that it is normal for the display to show OFF when the AFC/Bypass switch is in Bypass mode but if the motor does not run, check the main overload relay.
