On an ION 8600A with the C1 communication option, the ports will be configured as:
Com1: RS 232/485 (selectable)
Com2: Modem
Com3: IR
Com4: RS 485
Network: Ethernet
Please note that, if the meter is RMICAN sealed, then the COM4 is going to be blank.
